In 1984 I began restoring books in institutional special collections — for several years at the University of Saint Thomas in Saint Paul, then to Carleton and Saint Olaf Colleges in Northfield MN, where I worked for five years on Special Collections for both institutions. I am now in private practice, my workshop in my home near Lake Hiawatha in Minneapolis.
Much of my work is leather, but of course all sorts of books find their way into my workshop — children’s books, keepsakes, bibles, etc.
